BALLER MOVE: Sit in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has had a solid first year with the team. He is the WR29 for the season, averaging 11 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Fantasy players got a bargain on the wide receiver during fantasy football drafts.
Meyers was a late-round draft pick, while his teammate, Davante Adams (11.3 fantasy points per game average), was likely a second-round selection.
Many questioned the New England Patriots in the offseason. They let Meyers sign with the Raiders in free agency, replacing the talented wide receiver with JuJu Smith-Schuster. While the former Pittsburgh Steelers star has struggled with injuries, the Patriots made a massive mistake picking Smith-Schuster over Meyers.
After playing at an elite level with Jimmy Garoppolo under center, Meyers has struggled with Aidan O'Connell. The veteran wide receiver scored 12 or more fantasy points in the first five games this season with Garoppolo. By comparison, Meyers has severely struggled with the rookie quarterback.
The wide receiver has an unfriendly fantasy matchup tomorrow against the Indianapolis Colts. The AFC South team has held wide receivers to 24.3 fantasy points per game, the seventh-fewest in the NFL. Fantasy players should avoid starting Meyers at almost all costs.
