BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 2% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Had you asked Isaiah Hodgins about his pro career through Week 9 just a couple of months ago, he would have given you a very depressing answer. After playing just four snaps as a rookie for Buffalo last year and 13 in Week 5 this season, Hodgins had not graced a football field at any point outside of those two measly, forgettable times.
After Week 9 and mostly after Week 12, though, Hodgins has hit the ground running with the Giants. In the last month of play and in four games, Hodgins has appeared on at least 80% of all Giants snaps on a weekly basis (he already played 43, 45, and 45 in the prior four weeks to this recent month-long run) while reaching 15.4+ PPR points in three of those last four outings.
Hodgins is now coming off a career-game and by far his best of the season last Saturday: an 8-reception, 11-target, 89-yard, one-touchdown performance at Minny for a massive 22.9 PPR tally that will see him close the week as a top-12 WR in the league for the first time in his career, let alone this season.
Hodgins has been a bit fluky in that two of his prior three games before Week 16 were good only because he scored a touchdown in each W13 and W14. Had he not, he wouldn't have reached double-digit FP. Even then, Hodgins has caught at least four passes in four consecutive weeks and always reached at least 37 yards.
Over the full season, Hodgins is 33-of-42 catching passes while averaging 43+ yards per game and never falling behind 29 receiving yards in any single game. Hodgins is not a lock to put double-digit FP, again, as he's relied a bit too much on scoring plays.
Even then, and for those in deeper leagues, he should be a nice Flex option available for free this late into the year.
