Gus Edwards is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 20% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The waiver period has passed, but Los Angeles Chargers running back Gus Edwards is still only rostered in 20% of Sleeper leagues. He actually led the team in rushing in Week 10, carrying the ball 10 times for 55 yards. He averaged 5.5 yards per carry, meaning he was much more efficient than starter J.K. Dobbins, who logged 3.3 YPC.

The Chargers offensive line is playing excellent football in recent weeks, now that they're mostly healthy. It was odd to see Dobbins be so inefficient, but that could lead to more opportunities for Edwards. The team likely wanted to lean on a committee, but wasn't able to since Gus the Bus was dealing with an ankle injury.
The former Raven might not be the best starter in PPR leagues, since he doesn't seem to have much pass-catching upside. He also doesn't have a touchdown on the year. But in deeper leagues, he has some value, and Dobbins owners should make sure they have him as a handcuff.
