Fantasy Premier League - Best EPL Differential Picks for Gameweek 2 (2025)

Ollie Watkins - EPL-DFS-Euro-lineup-picks-english-premier-league-daily-fantasy-soccer-fanduel-draftkings-icon

Our Fantasy Premier League (FPL) analyst, Brad Mayor, gives his best picks for Gameweek 2 of the English Premier League fantasy game. Expert advice on Low-Picked Players in the English Premier League.

FPL is well and truly back, and whether you started well or you're already playing catch-up, we're here to help you win your mini-league! Gameweek 1 saw some unexpected stars, including Antoine Semenyo, Rico Lewis, and the highest score in the game so far from Daniel Ballard, who's in less than 3% of teams.

If you're looking for this week's differential star, then you're in the right place. Brad will discuss three low-owned gems for the upcoming gameweek with Euan, Wale, and Jamie, also sharing their top differential pick.

The Gameweek 2 deadline for the 2025-26 Fantasy Premier League season is Friday, August 22, at 1:30 p.m. EDT, when West Ham hosts Chelsea. Check out the rest of our excellent soccer coverage as the squad gets you all set for every EPL and UCL slate with our EPL DFS lineup picks and betting picks.

Best Differentials for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 2

Each gameweek, Brad, Euan, Jamie, and Wale will provide their best Differential picks for the upcoming gameweek in the 2025-26 Fantasy Premier League season. The Teams Selected By percentage (TSB%) is taken straight from the Fantasy Premier League site at the time of the article being published.

Evanilson - 2.0%

Fixture: Bournemouth vs. Wolves

Despite losing 4-2, Bournemouth impressed away at Anfield on the opening day. Antoine Semenyo will take the plaudits, but it was an impressive performance all round considering The Cherries have lost a fair few players over the summer.

Of course, most of them were defensive players, such as Dean Huijsen, Illia Zabarnyi, and Milos Kerkez. Still, significant changes to the team can often have an impact on the entire system, including the attack.

Evanilson wasn't involved in either of the goals, but he did pick up some promising positions and took three shots, the joint-highest for Bournemouth along with Semenyo. With the Liverpool fixture out of the way, Bournemouth have a nice run over the next 8 weeks, starting with Wolves at home, who let in four goals at the weekend.

With Kluivert still out, Evanilson is likely in line to take any penalties for Bournemouth too, so he's a nice differential that's in just 2% of teams currently.

Jørgen Strand Larsen - 4.7%

Fixture: Wolves at Bournemouth

As mentioned above, Wolves struggled in their opening game as they failed to score in a 4-0 loss to Man City. However, one player in particular did show some promising signs. Jørgen Strand Larsen took 4 shots and looked to be the main target for the attacking midfielders and wing-backs on the rare occasions that Wolves found themselves in Man City's half.

We know the Norwegian is more than capable at the Premier League level after scoring 14 goals in a largely disappointing season for Wolves. Matheus Cunha's departure also leaves penalty-taking duty open, and as the main centre-forward, JSL is a top contender to take over.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens - 0.3%

Fixture: Chelsea at West Ham

Chelsea were somewhat disappointing in their opening game against Crystal Palace on Sunday as they failed to score in a 0-0 draw. However, some players did show promise: Reece James, Marc Cucurella, and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens in particular.

In his Premier League debut, the former Dortmund man took two shots (only Cole Palmer took more) and created two chances (only James created more). What's more impressive is that he did this in just 54 minutes before he was subbed off for Estêvão.

This early sub could be a common occurrence given Estêvão's impressive start to his Chelsea career, so Gittens is a risky pick, but with West Ham in gameweek 2, the risk could pay off.

FPL Analyst Picks

Wale: Although Man City's Tijjani Reijnders sparked up the headlines in Gameweek 1. However, I mostly had my eye on Oscar Bobb and was elated to see the Norwegian international play 90 minutes against Wolves and contribute an assist.

Of course, Pep is gonna Pep, and the fear of rotation is there. I anticipate Bobb won't be dropped immediately and could be essential to face Tottenham in Gameweek 2. If Oscar Bobb starts the next game, I believe he will be the next bandwagon to wager on at 0.2% ownership.

Jamie: It feels like there are more forward options than ever in FPL. One that doesn't seem to be getting any love is Evanilson. The Bournemouth forward had a solid debut season in the EPL, scoring 10 goals in 28 starts last campaign.

Wolves got picked apart on Saturday, and while Bournemouth aren't at the same level as Manchester City, the Cherries showed their attacking capabilities at Anfield on Friday. Evanilson is currently only on 2.0% of FPL teams and could repay the few managers rostering him with a double-digit points haul.

Euan: When Arsenal provided their starting XI for the game against Man United, I was surprised to see Riccardo Calafiori beat out Miles Lewis-Skelley to start at left back. After his performance at Old Trafford, I reckon that was the right call by Mikel Arteta.

The Italian defender marauded forward and was often found quite central, hovering outside the Red Devils box. The 23-year-old was in the right place at the right time for his game-winning goal, but his constant runs through the United midfield have given me hope for the defender in his second full season of Premier League action.

A game against newly-promoted Leeds awaits Arsenal this weekend, and Calafiori could be in for another handful of points. FPL managers shouldn't count on those attacking returns, but a clean sheet is well within grasp for the Gunners.
