FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (7/7/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Tom Vecchio highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 7/7/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a split slate of games to kick-off our weekend, where the "early" slate starts at 4 pm with nine games. The 7 pm "main" slate only has four games, so I'll try to hit on a few options from each slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 7/5/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

James Paxton - P, SEA vs COL (FD - $10,300)

Paxton is one of the more expensive pitchers on FanDuel today and is coming in on a bit of a hot streak. He has put up nine or more strikeouts in four of his last five starts but has allowed 15 earned runs in that same span. He is up against the Rockies, who have a 94 wRC+ as a team and a 22% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers. This is a negative park shift for the Rockies, so a spot for Paxton to jump out ahead and put up a solid performance.

Robbie Ray - ARI vs SDP (FD - $9,000)

Ray is up against the Padres who have a 24% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers, which is third worst in the league. The Padres also have a team wOBA sitting at .296 vs LHP, which is fifth worst in the league. This is a prime spot for him to get back on track after having a rough start off the DL. He should be able to limit the damage against this weaker lineup, along with having some nice strikeout upside.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Jesus Aguilar - 1B, MIL vs ATL (FD - $3,900)

Aguilar has a .386 wOBA and a .288 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, putting him in a great spot today. He had a home run last night and with what we've seen this year from him, when he gets hot, we could be looking at plenty of power from him. Great hitter's park and up against Anibal Sanchez, who is a historic gas can pitcher in the MLB.

Alen Hanson - 2B, SFG vs STL (FD - $2,500)

Hanson is nice a cheap today, so the savings allow you to get up to the higher priced pitchers. He comes in with a massive .432 wOBA and a .348 ISO vs right-handed pitchers, which are truly impressive numbers for a player at his price points. He has hits in three of his last four games with one home run and three RBIs.

Jake Lamb - 3B, ARI vs SDP (FD - $3,600)

Lamb has the platoon advantage tonight vs Tyson Ross, who is giving up a .369 wOBA to lefties this season. Lamb comes into this game with a .168 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, which should give him enough power upside to be a home run threat tonight.

Trea Turner - SS, WAS vs MIA (FD - $4,200)

Turner has four multi-hit games in a row and is in a spot where you can play him in cash or GPPs. He is up against Wei-Yin Chen, who is giving up a .376 wOBA to righties this season, along with 1.53 HR/9. Love a Nationals stack today and he should be a key part of it.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Eddie Rosario - OF, MIN vs BAL (FD - $3,700)

Rosario is facing off against Kevin Gausman, who is giving up 1.23 HR/9 to lefties this season. Rosario comes in with a very strong .276 ISO vs right-handed pitchers, so he should be a nice mid-range player who has plenty of home run upside tonight. Also, a lefty stack for the Twins should be in play on this slate.

Nelson Cruz - OF, SEA vs COL (FD - $4,300)

Cruz vs a lefty. That's still a thing, right? He has a MASSIVE .457 wOBA and a .406 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season, so yea, it's still a thing. Cruz and the Mariners are up against Kyle Freeland who is giving up 1.15 HR/9 to righties this season, presenting Cruz with a solid home run matchup.
