FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (5/29/19): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Nate Duffett highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 5/29/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

There are 14 games on the schedule today, but there are smaller contests for a three-game early slate and two-game very early slate. I will be focusing my research on the nine-game main slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/29/2019. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

We also provide DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me on Twitter @Roto_Nate.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Pablo Lopez: MIA vs SFG ($7,600)

In his past two road starts, Lopez has allowed 14 runs in 6 2/3 innings. It would seem he likes pitching in his home ballpark, where he last tossed seven shutout innings in a win over the Mets. Lopez's home ERA is 1.93 in 23 1/3 innings, compared to 8.26 in 28 1/3 innings away. It will help that he is facing one of the worst hitting teams in the majors, bring a .285 team wOBA vs right-handed pitchers to the plate this evening.

Wade Miley: HOU vs CHC ($6,600)

It won't take much for Miley to pay off this salary if you want to pay up for some of the elite hitting matchups, and he has shown some success recently that would lead us to believe he can get the job done. Miley has won four consecutive decisions and is undefeated at home this year, going 3-0 with a 2.15 ERA and 29 strikeouts over 29 1/3 innings in five starts at Minute Maid Park.

Blake Snell: TB vs TOR ($11,800)

I usually keep the pitching options to only two, but Snell also has too good of a matchup here to not give him an honorable mention. He has been lights-out over his past four starts, posting a 1.48 ERA in 24 1/3 innings. Over that stretch, he has struck out 37 and walked six. We all know the struggles of the Blue Jays, and if you find enough value bats to fit Snell in your lineup then, by all means, lock him in. I would rather pay up for hitting and hope that Miley or Lopez can exceed their value, but in cash games, Snell has the higher floor.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Christian Walker: 1B, ARI at COL ($3,800)

You're going to want to get some exposure to the Diamondbacks here as they face Jeff Hoffman and his 8.10 ERA. If Walker gets in the lineup he should find himself at the middle of the order and will have a good chance of getting good at-bats against Hoffman, as he boasts a .348 wOBA and .256 ISO against right-handed pitching.

Hunter Dozier: 3B, KC at CWS ($3,800)

Who knows which Reynaldo Lopez is going to show up for the White Sox tonight. If we are going off of recency bias, he allowed eight earned runs and three home runs in his last start, so I will want to have some exposure to the Royals in this matchup. Dozier has two home runs in his last six games and has reached double-digit Fanduel points in three of those games. He has the best chance to give Lopez another miserable start in this matchup, as he is easily the best hitter on the team against right-handed pitching with a .463 wOBA.

Jean Segura: SS, PHI vs STL ($3,900)

Segura will be facing a left-handed pitcher making his first start, and hopefully batting at the top of what is sure to be a very popular stacking option tonight. Genesis Cabrera will take the mound for the Cardinals, but his 6.35 ERA in AAA doesn't make him a highly-touted commodity making his debut. The Phillies are one of the best teams in the majors against left-handed pitching, and Segura is right at the top of the list with a .534 wOBA and .444 ISO.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Trey Mancini: OF, BAL vs DET ($3,800)

The Orioles are another intriguing team, a night after getting shut out at the hands of Matthew Boyd. A statistically-worst pitcher in Ryan Carpenter takes the mound for the Tigers tonight with an 0-2 record and 9.00 ERA. Another interesting tidbit is that Carpenter will be pitching on short rest, so it could be an early trip to the Tigers bullpen, which is one of the worst in the league. For the time being, Mancini will be facing off with Carpenter and boasting a .430 wOBA and .283 ISO against left-handed pitching, but I will also like his chances to put up some good at-bats against the bullpen.

Cody Bellinger/Joc Pederson: OF, LAD vs NYM ($4,700/$3,500)

Noah Syndergaard has been struggling again this season, and it won't get any easier in this game when facing one of the best hitting teams in baseball against right-handed pitching. Bellinger is the easy name here, he has a .407/.490/.813 slash line against righties this year with a ridiculous .520 wOBA. Since they hit near each other in the lineup, you can put these two together as part of a stack, or you can settle for Pederson if you need the salary relief. Settling for Pederson would be a bit of an understatement, he has a .447 wOBA and .424 ISO against righties.
