FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (5/13/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome back! Tonight should be fun.

The New York Mets take on the Colorado Rockies in Coors Field, in what should be a very high-scoring affair.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/13/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies are back in Coors Field tonight to take on the New York Mets and Matt Harvey. Harvey has been struggling so far this season, and playing in hitter-friendly Colorado will definitely not help him out. Use the Rockies in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.

New York Mets

The New York Mets are traveling into Colorado to face off against Jon Gray and the Colorado Rockies. While Jon Gray has been solid away from home, he does currently have an ERA over 11 in Coors Field. The Mets should score a lot of runs, so use them in both 50/50 contests and tournaments as well.

San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants get the pleasure of hitting against the struggling Shelby Miller. In all honesty, Miller should be shut down for a week or two to figure out his mechanics, but the Arizona Diamondbacks seem to think he will pitch through it. Oh, well; that is better news for Buster Posey and company tonight. Use them more in tournaments because the own-percentages should be low with the Mets in Colorado.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Steven Wright

Steven Wright has been spectacular for the Boston Red Sox of recent, as he is currently sporting a 1.52 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 41 innings pitched. He gets a risky matchup tonight against the Houston Astros, a team that loves to hit home runs and strikeout. Wright, as long as he continues to pitch how he has all season long, is the best pitcher on the board for his price tag.

Rich Hill

Rich Hill gets a great matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays tonight, and he should throw the ball as well as he has all season. He posted over 40 fantasy points in his last game, and he has over 50 in two of his last four. He is currently sporting a 2.39 ERA with 46 strikeouts in 37 innings pitched, and he can be used in all formats.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C) - Wilson Ramos

Unfortunately, over at FanDuel, both Kevin Plawecki and Tony Wolters are expensive. That leaves Wilson Ramos for tournaments, as he has been on fire so far this season. Neither Plawecki nor Wolters really impress at the plate, so it is not out of the question that Ramos outscores them, especially considering he has only posted a goose egg in two of his last 10 games, while posting double-digit numbers in six.

First Base (1B) - Ryan Howard

Ryan Howard has been dreadful so far this season, but his huge home run power keeps fantasy owners coming back for more. He gets a great matchup tonight against the injury-ridden Cincinnati Reds' pitching staff, and if he gets ahold of one, he is way over value. Unfortunately, if he does not hit a home run, he is not likely to hit the ball at all. He is currently batting under .200. Use him in tournaments only.

Second Base (2B) - Daniel Murphy

Daniel Murphy is absolutely on fire right now. There is no secret trick to this selection; he is simply the best second baseman in the league right now. He has double-digit fantasy points in seven of his last 10 games, and he one of those games, he posted over 45 fantasy points. Use him in all formats until he cools down.

Shortstop (SS) - Brandon Crawford

Brandon Crawford gets a great matchup tonight against Shelby Miller and the Arizona Diamondbacks, and he has a lot of power for a shortstop. He started to heat up a few games ago, but it looks like he has cooled off again. He is a very streaky hitter that does not bode well for 50/50 contests, but he is great in tournaments.

Third Base (3B) - Trevor Plouffe

Trevor Plouffe is too cheap. That is all there is to it. He recently hit a home run, and he is not a terrible contact hitter either. He will likely hit value tonight, so use him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Yoenis Cespedes

Yoenis Cespedes gets a great matchup tonight against Jon Gray in Coors Field. He is almost a must play if the money is available. Cespedes has huge upside, and he could homer in two of the three games in the series. Use him in all formats.

Hunter Pence

Hunter Pence is slightly underpriced over at FanDuel, so take advantage of that while it is available. He should hit well against Shelby Miller, and he is in a great RBI spot. Use him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments, as he is hitting slightly under .300 with home run upside.

Odubel Herrera

Odubel Herrera has been great for the Philadelphia Phillies, and he should continue to hit well tonight against the Cincinnati Reds. He gets a great matchup, and the entire Phillies' team is actually a decent stack tonight on FanDuel. Everyone is cheap, which will allow for a Mets' or Rockies' stack. Odubel Herrera, Ryan Howard, and Maikel Franco all have the best upside.
