DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/7/22): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

Stephen Curry - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on February 7, 2022. Juan Carlos Blanco provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a much smaller slate than usual for a Monday this week, as only five games are on tap. There's also the potential for some lopsided results given the matchups, but there are still enough healthy players to give us plenty of viable options at each point on the salary scale.

There's plenty to like from a DFS perspective in the Raptors-Hornets matchup in particular, considering it could be one of the closest contests of the night. The Suns-Bulls clash could also see some big individual performances, with some of Chicago's frontline players likely to see a nice increase in usage if the squad remains short-handed.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/7/22. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Stephen Curry - PG, GSW at OKC (10,500 DK; $9,800 FD)

Curry dropped 20 points in 32 minutes on 7-for-11 shooting in his return from a one-game absence Thursday, and he's been over 40 fantasy points on either site in seven of the last nine games. Curry also posted 41.3 DK/ 39 FD points over just 27 minutes in his most recent encounter with the Thunder, and OKC comes into Monday having allowed the second-most DK (55.6) and third-most FD (53.8) points per game to point guards in the last 15 contests. The Thunder are also naturally short-handed in the backcourt with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) out of action until at least the All-Star break, which helps Curry's cause against a team he's already shot 41.7 percent from three-point range against in two games this season.

Fred VanVleet - PG, TOR at CHA ($8,500 DK; $8,600 FD)

VanVleet has scored at least 40 DK points in eight straight games and is shooting an impressive 39.2 percent from three-point range in the 17 games he's played since the calendar flipped to 2022. The breakout guard still struggles with efficiency from in front of the arc, but the Hornets, which have improved defensively as the season has gone on, are still allowing over 45 fantasy points per game on either site to PGs. Charlotte is also tied for third-most assists allowed per home game (25.0) and has given up the fourth-most steals per home contest (8.3); those figures could certainly help VanVleet's cause, considering he's averaging a career-high 7.2 dimes (7.3 on the road) and 1.7 steals per contest this season.

Terry Rozier - PG/SG, CHA vs. TOR ($7,100 DK; $6,500 FD)

Rozier makes for an intriguing play on the other side of the Raptors-Hornets tilt. The veteran wing scored 30.8 DK points in 29.1 minutes in his one prior meeting with Toronto this season and comes in hot, having averaged 20.1 points, 5.0 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest over the last 15 while eclipsing 40 fantasy points on seven occasions. The Raptors have had trouble defending two-guards all season, allowing the fourth-highest offensive efficiency to the position (22.6 percent), along with 41.5 DK/40.1 FD points per contest in the last 15 games. Rozier's FD salary is particularly appealing, but he requires a very reasonable investment on DK as well and has returned at least 5x on that $7.1k figure in 19 games.

Also consider: Chris Paul ($9,600 DK; $10,200 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Pascal Siakam - PF, TOR at CHA ($9,200 DK, $9,700 FD)

Siakam draws a particularly appealing matchup Monday, as the Hornets have been generally trampled by centers all season and are coming off having allowed a pair of mammoth double-doubles to Jarrett Allen and Bam Adebayo. Charlotte has given up the fifth-highest offensive efficiency to centers (33.4 percent) and yielded over 57 fantasy points per game on either site to fives over the last seven games. The Hornets have also given up the third-most rebounds per home contest (56.0), while Siakam comes in with three double-digit rebounding tallies in the last five contests alone, as well as  tallies of 55.8 DK/52.8 FD points in his one previous meeting with Charlotte this season.

Andrew Wiggins - SF, GSW at OKC ($6,500 DK; $6,700 FD)

Wiggins has tallies of 39 DK/41.8 FD points in one of his two encounters with the Thunder this season, and OKC checks in allowing over 41 fantasy points per game on each site to small forwards over the last 15. The veteran comes into Monday with a hot hand as well, as evidenced by his 48.6 percent shooting, including 41.6 percent from behind the arc, in the last 13 contests. Wiggins' salaries are very reasonable for a player who's flashed a ceiling well north of 40 fantasy points on each site repeatedly, making him a consideration for tournaments in particular against a short-handed squad that could be down an important defensive asset in Luguentz Dort (face).

Gordon Hayward - SF/PF, CHA vs. TOR ($5,000 DK; $5,200 FD)

Hayward is more of a tournament play due to some erratic play in his first two games since returning from COVID-19 protocols, but it's likely the veteran wing isn't this inexpensive again this season. Hayward's rostering rate should be low after he went 0-for-7 from the floor Saturday night against the Heat and also produced a 3-for-13 tally against the Cavs in his first game back, but those were two very tough defensive matchups and came in the wake of a six-game absence. Hayward is naturally a much better player than those two games imply, and in fact, he'd shot 51.7 percent, including 42.2 percent from three-point range, in the nine games prior to his absence. The Raptors have given up over 40 fantasy points per game on either site to small forwards in the last seven contests, and Hayward's salaries are such that he could well deliver at least a 5x return with just an average game by his usual standards.

Also consider: DeMar DeRozan ($9,800; $10,400)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Nikola Vucevic - CHI vs. PHO ($10,100 DK; $10,500 FD)

Vucevic has been more active on the scoring front of late and could once again take the floor without Zach LaVine (back) on Monday. The big man sports a 27.2 percent usage rate and is averaging 47.6 DK/47.1 FD points per 36 minutes without his star teammate. Vucevic is also averaging 21.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.4 blocks per contest over the last 12 games, and although Phoenix has been tough on paper against centers all season, Vucevic, thanks in part to his impressive floor-spacing skills, has flashed upside well north of 60 fantasy points on each site, including in each of his last two games.

Bam Adebayo -  MIA at WAS ($9,000 DK; $9,400 FD)

Adebayo makes for a nice pivot if you need to save some dollars off Vucevic and still want a top-tier center. The big man just racked up the aforementioned 20-point, 12-rebound double-double against the Hornets and has now double-doubled in five of the last six games. Adebayo has averaged nearly a fantasy points per minute in two games against the Wizards this season as well, and Washington, which is likely to be down one big man in Daniel Gafford (COVID-19 protocols) on Monday, has allowed over 59 fantasy points per game on each site to centers in the last 15 games. Washington is also yielding the eighth-most points in the paint per home game (48.4), while Adebayo is averaging 12.0 points per game in that part of the floor this season.

Also consider: Deandre Ayton($7,200; $7,600); Chris Boucher($4,900; $4,600)
