DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (4/28/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Freddy Peralta - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on April 28th, 2022. Brian Entrekin's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Welcome back to another edition of the FREE DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks. Today we have a 9-game slate on DK and a 10-game slate on FD, as FD has the BOS/TOR game that starts at 3:07 pmEST. It's an early slate, so get that cup of coffee going to help build those lineups. It is a fun slate as a handful of solid GPP pitchers are to target. But, unfortunately, there are also a handful of bad pitchers to stack against—some potential chalk spots to fade.

It's a large slate meaning there will be a lot of ways to build tonight. The main pitching is mid-priced for the most part, outside of Justin Verlander. Verlander is not a must, and fading JV can save some money for those oh-so-important bats. Stacking is where it gets fun. There are a handful of teams in fantastic matchups versus some suspect LHP. Some other great matchups versus some RHP have performed below standards as well. For a full slate breakdown, listen to MLB DFS Quick Hits.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Fanduel and DraftKings on 4/28/2022. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Freddy Peralta - P, MIL at PIT ($7,700 DK, $9,100 FD)

Call me a sucker if you want, but I am all in on Peralta. The improvements made in each start, especially his last start, were fantastic. Walks have been his issue this season, 14% of the time, but his 28% strikeout rate helps a ton. He is getting hitters to chase over 30% of the time, and he has an excellent SwStr of 12.6%. Most advanced metrics agree that Peralta has been pitching much better than his stats show. He now gets a great matchup versus the Pirates and is cheaper than his last start. Peralta will be chalk, and he should be. I will be sinking or swimming with Peralta today and in the future until he is appropriately priced.

Tarik Skubal - P, DET at MIN ($8,500 DK, $8,800 FD)

After a rough first start, Skubal has been outstanding in his last two starts. He has thrown at least five innings in each start with six or more strikeouts and has not allowed an earned run. No runs, and all the strikeouts are great, but the most impressive feat from Skubal is ZERO walks. Walks and home runs ruined so many Skubal starts, and so far this year, he has made significant improvements. He gets a strong matchup tonight versus the Twins, who are striking out 24.5% of the time versus LHP, which should benefit Skubal's DK scoring in a big way.

Other options: Justin Verlander at TEX ($10,100 DK, $10,700 FD), Michael Kopech vs. KC ($9,600 DK, $9,500 FD), Bailey Ober vs. DET ($7,900 DK, $8,600 FD), Jameson Taillon vs. BAL ($8,100 DK, $8,500 FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Garrett Cooper - 1B/OF, MIA at Patrick Corbin ($3,300 DK, $2,800 FD)

Cooper is off to a great start to the season and entered Wednesday night's action hitting .292 with a .820 OPS and 150 wRC+. He has been hitting second or sixth most games; both spots produce nice fantasy upside. He'll face Corbin tonight, which bodes well as Cooper has crushed LHP in his career. Over the last two seasons, Cooper has hit at least .344 with a .219 ISO and .971 OPS versus LHP. It's already great that Cooper hits LHP well, but it is also significant that Corbin has been horrible this season. Corbin has also struggled mightily versus RHP in recent years. The Marlins are a strong stack today, and Cooper makes for a great value no matter what build you are going with.

Jonathan India - 2B, CIN vs. Nick Martinez ($3,200 DK, $2,900 FD)

As a whole, the Reds are far too cheap today. India is one of the free squares I'll be targeting, especially in cash lineups. On Tuesday, he returned from the IL and went 1-4 with a double. The power has not been there for India on the season, but he has hit safely in six of eight games, and Martinez can be what the doctor ordered to get India on track. Martinez has allowed six runs, five home runs, and walked nine over his last two starts (9.2 IP). He has had significant problems limiting the damage, so expect India's OBP skills to light up and the Reds' value to have a big day.

Alex Bregman- 3B, HOU at Martin Perez ($5,100 DK, $3,500 FD)

Bregman is scorching hot this season, especially over the last week. He has hit safely in six of his previous eight games, suitable for a .321 average. Bregman has four extra-base hits over that stretch and is walking an impressive 15.2% of the time. Bregman gets to face the lefty Perez which is excellent as Bregman has hit at least .300 in five straight seasons versus LHP with an OPS of .839 or better each season. Bregman and the Astros make for an excellent stack on Thursday.

Willy Adames- SS, MIL at Jose Quintana ($5,000 DK, $3,300 FD)

It took Adames a few games to get going, but he is locked in and ready to roll again today. Heading into Wednesday, Adames had hit safely in four of his last five games with three home runs and a stolen base. He is barreling the ball 33% of the time to go with a 46.7% hard-hit rate. He faces Quintana today, and that should bode well as Adames has had an ISO of at least .215 and an OPS of at least .771 in each of the last two seasons versus LHP. Expect Adames and the Brewers to have a big getaway day.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Odubel Herrera- OF, PHI vs. Antonio Senzatela ($2,300 DK, $2,400 FD)

Herrera returned to the Phillies just a few games ago, and he is already producing in a big way. He entered Wednesday, hitting safely in two of four games with a home run, and then proceeded to go deep again on Wednesday night. We know Herrera can be streaky, so ride this hot start while you can, especially at his low price. He will face Senzatela today who allowed five runs in his last start. Senzatela is fortunate it has not been worse this season as he is only striking out 8% of the batters he is facing, which leads to a ton of balls in play. The Phillies are a fun stack today, and Herrera makes for a great value play in stacks or as a GPP one-off.

Kyle Tucker - OF, HOU at Martin Perez ($4,100 DK, $2,800)

I hope people have been listening and playing Tucker at his discounted price. He has hit safely in four of his last five games and is putting up quality DFS production. Tucker was not going to slump much longer, and he is breaking out. Today, he is still too cheap. Sure, he's facing an LHP, but do not let that stop you, as he hit .286 versus LHP last season with an impressive .292 ISO and .910 OPS. Keep playing Tucker and loaded up on the Astros versus Perez.

Jorge Soler- OF, MIA at Patrick Corbin ($3,800 DK, $2,800 FD)

Heading into Wednesday night's action, Soler had hit safely in five straight games (he went 0-4 on Wednesday). Soler hit .286 over the five-game streak with three doubles and a friendly 12.5% walk rate. As a whole, Soler is off to a slow start this season, but Corbin could help get him out of that funk. Last year, Soler had a .287 ISO and .846 OPS versus LHP. So load up on the Marlins and enjoy the discounts that come with it.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Miami Marlins at Washington Nationals (Patrick Corbin, LHP)

The article has already been well established but load up against Corbin. RHH is the main target, like Cooper, Soler, Avisail Garcia, and others, but do not sleep on quality lefties like Jazz Chisholm Jr. as well. Outside of Jazz, the Marlins are very affordable, making for an excellent value stack in a smash spot.

Houston Astros at Texas Rangers (Martin Perez, LHP)

The Astros should be very popular and for a good reason versus Perez. They are a bit pricier since Bregman, and Jeremy Pena should be targeted. But enjoy some value with Tucker, Chaz McCormick, and others as there are some excellent values.

Milwaukee Brewers at Pittsburgh Pirates (Jose Quintana, LHP)

The Brew Crew are due for a big game, and Quintana may be the guy to help him. Adames is a lock-in those stacks, followed by Hunter Renfroe, Andrew McCutchen, Tyrone Taylor value, and others. Today is a day to target LHP, and the Brewers are one of the top spots.
