Week 9 DraftKings NFL DFS Picks - Main Slate (2025)

Jaxson Dart - Fantasy Football Rankings, Rookie QB Sleepers

Jamie's DraftKings NFL DFS Week 9 picks, value plays, DFS sleepers for the main slate (2025). His top DK plays and value picks for daily fantasy football lineups.

Can you believe it's already Week 9?! I feel like we count down the minutes over the seven months of the offseason only to see the regular season fly by in a blink. Such is life as a football fan, I guess. We turn our attention now to the Week 9 DFS slate, which features 11 games with some high-profile contests.

Despite ranking Darnell Mooney WR8 last week, I maintained my hold on the silver medal in the FantasyPros Accuracy Cup rankings. If you're following along with this, my rankings will be updated by this afternoon, and the weekly rankings article with sit/start decisions will be out by Saturday morning!

Be sure to jump into our RotoBaller Discord! We have so many different channels devoted to whatever you're playing in fantasy football. We also have lots of great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win MORE this season! Good luck with your DraftKings DFS lineups -- let's dominate this Week 9 slate together!

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 9 DFS Picks

TOP PLAY

Editor’s note: Lamar Jackson has been ruled out. Consider Jalen Hurts or Baker Mayfield as the top spend-up options at the position.

Patrick Mahomes, KC @ BUF ($7,100)

There is absolutely no need to spend up at the QB position in cash, as there are sub-$6k values galore. However, stacking the Bills/Chiefs game in GPP looks like a fast way to money. The game features a two-point spread and a 52.5 O/U, and Patrick Mahomes has shredded the Bills' defense in the past.

With Isiah Pacheco dealing with an injury, it's likely the Chiefs will become even more pass-centric this week (they're already seventh in Pass Rate Over Expectation). Rashee Rice's return makes an already sizzling Mahomes a high-ceiling play, and he's averaging a robust 25.2 DK PPG. Stack up those Chiefs in tournaments.

VALUE PLAY

Jaxson Dart, NYG vs SF ($5,200)

Despite working with virtually nothing at WR and an inept coaching staff (sorry, this Giants fan is snarky), Jaxson Dart is providing weekly fantasy upside and is a beacon of hope for us in Giant-land. Over the past three weeks, Dart has finished QB3, QB3, and QB13 despite playing the highly coveted defenses of Denver and Philadelphia twice.

In addition to his passing (8:3 TD:INT ratio), Dart is a high-floor play thanks to his Josh Allen-like rushing tendencies. In his five starts for the Giants, Dart has 195 rushing yards and four rushing TDs. The absence of Cam Skattebo has the potential for the Giants to dial up more designed runs in the red zone for Dart as well. The 49ers' defense is not the feared unit it once was without Nick Bosa and Fred Warner.

Other options - Drake Maye, Caleb Williams, Mac Jones

DraftKings Running Backs - Week 9 DFS Picks

TOP PLAY

Christian McCaffrey, SF @ NYG ($8,800)

Not writing up Jonathan Taylor in this spot feels dirty after what he's done this season, but Christian McCaffrey is in a prime bounce-back spot after finishing RB28 last week. He's also $1,000 cheaper than Taylor, and every dollar is precious in DraftKings' dynamic pricing scheme.

McCaffrey was bottled up by the Houston defense last week, but the Giants should offer no such challenge. After allowing Saquon Barkley to run roughshod all over them, New York has now been gutted by RBs for 5.6 YPC and the sixth-most FPPG allowed.

VALUE PLAY

Jaylen Warren, PIT vs IND ($5,500)

Jaylen Warren lacks the double-TD upside for GPPs, but he's a perfect cash value at $5,500. Over the past three games, Warren has 48 touches and has been averaging an elite 6.1 YPC. He sets up well in a possible shootout against the high-octane Colts, and this game has an O/U of 51 points.

Warren's box score log has been ugly due to the fact that he hasn't gotten into the end zone since Week 1 (and that was a receiving TD), but he remains heavily involved in the passing game and has achieved at least three targets in every game thus far.

Other options - Jonathan Taylor, Kimani Vidal, Tyrone Tracy Jr.

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 9 DFS Picks

TOP PLAY

Ja'Marr Chase, CIN vs. CHI ($8,400)

This pick 1,000,000% hinges on the availability of Joe Flacco, who looks like a true 50/50 to play as he battles a shoulder injury. Flacco has reignited the Bengals' offense, and no one more than Ja'Marr Chase. In the three games with Flacco under center, Chase has 38 catches on 54 targets (yes, you're reading that right) for 346 yards and two TDs.

Chicago is a terrific matchup for Chase. On the season, the Bears have allowed the second-most yards per play and have given up the 10th-most FPPG to opposing WRs. At $8,400 with Flacco throwing him the ball, there is arguably no better per-dollar play on the slate than Chase. He loses a LOT of luster if Jake Browning is under center, however, and I would restrict him to GPPs only.

VALUE PLAY

Jauan Jennings, SF @ NYG ($4,300)

Jauan Jennings has made it known that he's been playing through five broken ribs for the majority of this season. It's shown in the box scores, as he hasn't had a top-36 finish outside of Week 2, where he went 5-89-1 against the Saints. However, Jennings is getting healthier, and his role is increasing in this 49ers offense.

Jennings has seven targets in back-to-back games for the Niners, and led the team in both targets and air yards share last week against Houston. He's been incredibly inefficient with Mac Jones, so there's definitely a shaky floor here. However, his price tag of $4,300 just isn't right for what he brings to the table, and the Giants have allowed the second-most receptions and the fifth-most FPPG to opposing WRs.

Other options - Puka Nacua, Rashee Rice, DK Metcalf, Olamide Zaccheaus

DraftKings Tight Ends - Week 9 DFS Picks

TOP PLAY

George Kittle, SF @ NYG ($4,800)

It's 49ers week in this article! After being relegated to blocking duty in his first game back, George Kittle returned to fantasy relevance last week with a 4-43-1 line on five targets. He played a 77% snap share, and that should increase even more as Kittle's health returns.

The Giants are slightly below-average at defending the TE position, but they've also allowed the third-highest reception % to the position. At under $5,000, Kittle can be used in any San Francisco stack or as your cash TE without breaking the bank.

VALUE PLAY

Theo Johnson, NYG vs SF ($3,500)

If we're dumpster-diving a bit more at the position (which a lot of times is the recommended path in cash), Theo Johnson stands out. Daniel Bellinger has yet to practice this week after sustaining a neck injury against the Eagles, which would give Johnson a near every-down role for the Giants against San Francisco.

Generally regarded as nails against the TE position, the 49ers have been far more vulnerable this year since losing Warner. Johnson is sixth in the NFL among TEs in snap share and routes run, and has four receiving TDs (fourth in the league).

Other options - Tyler Warren, Brock Bowers, Kyle Pitts Sr.

DraftKings D/ST - Week 9 DFS Picks

Top 5 Defenses For Cash Games

  1. Atlanta Falcons ($2,500)
  2. Los Angeles Chargers ($3,800)
  3. Los Angeles Rams ($3,900)
  4. Tennessee Titans ($2,300)
  5. New York Giants ($2,400)

Thanks for reading, and good luck in your contests this weekend!
