Week 8 DraftKings NFL DFS Picks - Main Slate (2025)

Bijan Robinson - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Rookies, Draft Sleepers

Jamie's DraftKings NFL DFS Week 8 picks, value plays, DFS sleepers for the main slate (2025). His top DK plays and value picks for daily fantasy football lineups.

For those of you following the rankings competition, I relinquished my top spot to the great Pat Thorman of Establish The Run. Second place ain't half bad, though, and I have another week to try and reclaim the throne. Some INCREDIBLE running back matchups at the top, and we'll explore the decision-making process in this article.

If you're new to DFS, this is the perfect week to dabble in the waters. Many season-long leagues are feeling the sting of the bye weeks, and DFS is a perfect opportunity to grab a little cash on the side. All of our staff members at RotoBaller will work hard to try and get you a little green as we hit the midpoint of the season.

Be sure to jump into our RotoBaller Discord! We have so many different channels devoted to whatever you're playing in fantasy football. We also have lots of great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win MORE this season! Good luck with your DraftKings DFS lineups -- let's dominate this Week 8 slate together!

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 8 DFS Picks

TOP PLAY

Editor’s note: Lamar Jackson has been ruled out. Consider Jalen Hurts or Baker Mayfield as the top spend-up options at the position.

Lamar Jackson, BAL vs. CHI ($6,800)

Lamar Jackson continues to practice on a limited basis, giving his fantasy managers (and the Ravens) hope that he'll make his return in Week 8. The Ravens have run the fewest offensive plays in the NFL since Jackson went down, and all of the skill-position players around him have cratered in value.

If Jackson does return, he'll do so just in time for a matchup against the Bears, who have given up the second-most yards per play and the sixth-most FPPG to QBs. The hamstring might be tricky for Jackson's rushing floor, but he's also a highly efficient passer who can elevate everyone around him. Vegas currently has the Ravens at an implied total of 28, indicating they expect him to return to full form.

VALUE PLAY

Bo Nix, DEN vs. DAL ($6,000)

Bo Nix is the most criticized QB7 I've seen in fantasy. The optics suggest he's taken a visible step back, but the Broncos are 5-2, and Nix has been a QB1 all season. This week, he gets the nice matchup against Dallas, which has given up by FAR the most FPPG to opposing QBs.

Nix has 172 rushing yards (10th among QBs) and three rushing TDs (fourth), which gives him a solid floor before even throwing a pass. Denver has an inflated implied team total of 27 points this week, and Nix's rushing ability does not force you into playing him with any of his receivers (although Courtland Sutton looks mighty nice, too).

Other options - Jalen Hurts, Daniel Jones, Spencer Rattler

DraftKings Running Backs - Week 8 DFS Picks

TOP PLAY

Bijan Robinson, ATL vs. MIA ($8,800)

The decision of the week is Bijan Robinson vs. Jonathan Taylor at the top of the RB pool, as both are in matchups where they can go absolutely nuclear this weekend. I am going to do everything in my power to get both in my cash lineups this weekend, but this article is about tough choices, and Robinson is going to get my vote.

The $700 discount is the key here, which I think bakes in enough of Tyler Allgeier's presence (Taylor does not have an Allgeier to contend with). Over the past five games, Miami's run defense has absolutely fallen apart. It has allowed 603 rushing yards and five rushing TDs in that span and has now given up the third-most FPPG to opposing RBs.

Taylor could easily outscore Robinson, but he now leads the league in broken tackles and yards after contact, and I can't imagine a scenario (barring injury) that he doesn't eviscerate the Dolphins. By the way, Allgeier is a really fun GPP value.

VALUE PLAY

Rachaad White, TB @ NO ($6,400)

Rachaad White had a disappointing week, but it was largely a result of the game script, as the Bucs trailed Detroit the entire game. His usage was still elite, as he outsnapped Sean Tucker 63 to six and had 14 touches to Tucker's two. This week, he gets a far better matchup against the Saints, and the Bucs are five-point road favorites.

A known pass-protection winner, White should be on the field for most of this game and is featured in the passing attack as well (he had five targets against Detroit last week). The Saints are fresh off a game where the Bears cooked them for 216 rushing yards and two TDs.

Other options - Jonathan Taylor, De'Von Achane, Derrick Henry

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 8 DFS Picks

TOP PLAY

Ja'Marr Chase, CIN vs. NYJ ($8,100)

There's not much to say here. Ja'Marr Chase had 16 catches on an amazing 23 targets last Thursday in the Bengals' upset win over the Steelers, and already has an awesome rapport with gunslinging Joe Flacco. Until further notice, Chase should be considered the WR1 again, and he offers a discount to the two top RBs described above.

The Jets defense seems to have found itself over the past two games, but Sauce Gardner was taken into the concussion protocol, so his status is up in the air. If he sits, there is absolutely no one to stop Chase from eating again. If Gardner does play, the matchup gets tougher, but Chase is such a precise route runner that it really may not matter with Flacco under center.

VALUE PLAY

Chris Olave, NO vs. TB ($5,800)

As long as he remains with the Saints, Chris Olave is going to continue to deliver high-floor fantasy numbers, and his price has still not reached the $6K threshold on DraftKings. On the season, Olave ranks second in targets and eighth in air yards, and Tampa's pass-funnel defense puts him in the upper echelon of WRs with a discounted price.

The Bucs have given up the fourth-most receptions and have been especially vulnerable to the big play (they've allowed the third-most completions of 20 yards or more). This puts Olave's air yards share on full display for this game, and his ability to get peppered with underneath targets helps to keep his floor ripe for cash. Olave is a solid play in all formats this weekend.

Other options - Emeka Egbuka, A.J. Brown, Zay Flowers, Rashid Shaheed

DraftKings Tight Ends - Week 8 DFS Picks

TOP PLAY

Tyler Warren, IND vs. TEN ($5,500)

The rejuvenated Colts have an implied total of 31 points this week, the highest of any team by over two points. If you can't get to Taylor, Tyler Warren is the next-most-logical piece to try to get into lineups. The rookie TE is third in targets and receptions, and leads the position in receiving yards.

The Colts are favored by two touchdowns over the hapless Titans, so the risk of not throwing a lot looms here. However, Warren's usage has been so elite in his rookie season that his price tag hasn't been adjusted for it. DT Jeffery Simmons may sit this one out, and the Colts have even schemed Warren carries in the red zone.

VALUE PLAY

Dalton Schultz, HOU vs. SF ($3,300)

Like many fantasy managers, I left Dalton Schultz for dead this season, but he's clawed his way back into relevance and is the top cheap option at TE for Week 8. Over the past four weeks, Schultz has seen 27 targets while seeing his snap and route running share increase exponentially as the season has gone on.

Schultz is battling some injuries this week, but fellow teammates Nico Collins (concussion) and Christian Kirk (hamstring) are also nicked up. If either or both of them were to sit, Schultz would gain a great deal of upside in what's now a middling matchup for TEs.

Other options - George Kittle, Mason Taylor, Cade Otton

DraftKings D/ST - Week 8 DFS Picks

Top 5 Defenses For Cash Games

  1. Cincinnati Bengals ($2,70o)
  2. Indianapolis Colts ($3,800)
  3. Philadelphia Eagles ($3,200)
  4. New York Giants ($2,100)
  5. New York Jets ($2,300)

Thanks for reading, and good luck in your contests this weekend!
