DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/4/19): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on June 4th, 2019. Daniel E. Dobish's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Tuesday's slate of Major League Baseball features all 15 games, and there are very few weather trouble spots, too. Be sure to double-check the weather and the lineups before finalizing your roster.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/4/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too.

Today's Weather

The winds will be blowing in from right field across the diamond at an 11-14 mph clip at Comerica Park for the Rays-Tigers battle. In Queens, the Giants and Mets will experience a 9-12 mph wind blowing out to right field. The same holds true for the Twins-Indians tussle in Cleveland, blowing out to right field at 9-12 mph.

At Wrigley Field, the Rockies and Cubs will see a jet-stream blowing out to the left-center field power alley at 10-13 mph. Winds will be all throughout the Midwest, as the Red Sox-Royals game will also see 11-14 mph winds blowing out to the fountains in left-center field, and the Red and Cardinals will see 10-12 mph winds blowing out to left field.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Jerad Eickhoff - P, PHI at SD ($7,100)

If you're looking for a low-cost pitching option with some upside, check out Eickhoff. He'll be facing the Padres, a team which has struck out 587 times to lead the National League. That's 9.78 strikeouts in 60 total games for the Padres, so Eickhoff could easily meet or exceed DFS salary expectations in this one.

Devin Smeltzer - P, MIN at CLE ($7,500)

The southpaw Smeltzer debuted against Milwaukee with just three hits allowed and no walks over six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts in a no-decision last Tuesday. Cleveland ranks 26th in runs scored (234), and they have managed just 61 homers to tie for 25th in the majors.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Jorge Alfaro - C, MIA at MIL ($4,300)

Alfaro will try his hand against RHP Chase Anderson in the series opener in Cream City. The Miami backstop has been on fire over the past week with a .533 (8-for-15) batting average, two doubles, two homers and seven RBI.

Trey Mancini - 1B/OF, BAL at TEX ($5,000)

Mancini, who also carries outfielder eligibility, has a favorable matchup against LHP Drew Smyly. He has registered a solid .333 (23-for-69) average with eight doubles, four homers and eight RBI to go along with a 1.018 OPS against southpaws so far this season.

Max Muncy - 2B/1B, LAD at ARI ($5,300)

Muncy will face Arizona's RHP Taylor Clarke, who was pounded for five earned runs, four hits and two walks in just four innings in a no-decision. The infielder Muncy has been consistently solid against both RHP and LHP, but he has a little more power against righties. He has seven doubles, eight homers and a .895 OPS in 132 at-bats this season vs. RHP.

David Fletcher - 3B/OF, LAA vs. OAK ($4,000)

Fletcher, who can also be used in the outfield if you so choose, has been on fire lately. He has hit safely in 13 consecutive games, hitting .415 (22-for-53) with 11 runs scored, a homer, six RBI and eight walks with a .585 slugging percentage. Strike while the iron is hot and the price tag is lower.

Trevor Story - SS, COL at CHC ($5,300)

The wind will be blowing out to Waveland Avenue in Wrigleyville, and that bodes well for a power hitter like Story, even against a tougher pitcher like RHP Kyle Hendricks. Story has cracked 13 homers with 37 RBI across 166 at-bats vs. RHP while adding eight doubles and two triples. That's good for a .952 OPS.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Ramon Laureano - OF, OAK at LAA ($3,500)

Laureano got off to a disappointing start this season for fantasy owners in seasonal leagues, but they're smiling lately, and so should his recent DFS owners. The outfielder has hit safely in 15 straight games, hitting .344 (21-for-61) with nine runs scored, two homers and four RBI during the impressive stretch.

Bryan Reynolds - OF, PIT vs. ATL ($4,100)

Reynolds has collected 17 hits over his past 40 at-bats (.425), hitting safely in 11 consecutive outings. He'll look to keep it cooking against LHP Max Fried. Reynolds is hitting a gaudy .429 (15-for-35) with four doubles, two homers and four RBI with a 1.173 against southpaws so far this season.
