DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/15/16): MLB DFS Advice

Jason Bales highlights the top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 9/15/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings MLB DFS lineups.

It is a semi-short slate tonight for major league baseball, likely because NFL recently started again. It is smart to have the bigger baseball days on non-football days. Anyway, it is still a great night for a little bit of fantasy. Why not play both football and baseball? I'm here to help you out.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/15/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

Editor's Note: Purchase a full season NFL Premium Pass (including DFS Premium), and also get MLB Premium + DFS for free through the playoffs. DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays are one of the best offenses in the league, and Daniel Wright, along with the rest of the Los Angeles Angels' bullpen, are not going to be able to keep them off of the scoreboard. Use the Blue Jays in all formats tonight, especially with only eight games to choose from.

Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs get a great matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers and Jimmy Nelson. Nelson has potential, but his ERA is almost seven in his last 10 starts, so it is safe to say that he is struggling on the mound. The Cubs will take advantage.

New York Yankees

The New York Yankees get a semi-tough matchup tonight against the Boston Red Sox and Eduardo Rodriguez, who has been pitching well of recent. However, their price tags are lower than usual, and hitting in Boston should give them a boost, even though it is not hitter-friendly New York.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Johnny Cueto ($10,800)

With limited pitching options on the board tonight, Johnny Cueto is one of the, if not the, best pitcher for fantasy purposes. On the season, he currently has a 2.90 ERA, 15-5 record, and 174 strikeouts over 198.1 innings pitched. His K-rate could be better, but it'll have to do. He gets a decent matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals, and he should hit value.

J.A. Happ ($8,300)

J.A. Happ is the most valuable pitcher on the board tonight. His price tag is low-ish, and he has an ERA of 3.26 in his last 10 starts. He is averaging 19.3 fantasy points per game over the same period of time, which is solid for how cheap he currently is. The Los Angeles Angels are not known for their offensive production. Use Happ in all leagues.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C) - Sandy Leon ($3,600)

Sandy Leon is reasonably priced, and he gets a solid matchup tonight against the New York Yankees. He is hitting at home, and in his last 10 games, he has a batting average of .375. He is one of the most consistent catchers on the board.

First Base (1B) - Kendrys Morales ($4,300)

Kendrys Morales is playing far too well to pass on him tonight against the Oakland Athletics. The Athletics pitched well last night, but that is not something that happens too often. Morales is hitting over .350 in his last 10 games with 13 fantasy points per game on average.

Second Base (2B) - Devon Travis ($4,300)

Devon Travis recently hit lead off for the Toronto Blue Jays, and if that continues to happen, his fantasy value increases. In his last 10 games, he is hitting over .400 with just over eight fantasy points per game on average. Use him in all formats, especially 50/50 contests, against the Los Angeles Angels.

Shortstop (SS) - J.J. Hardy ($3,600)

J.J. Hardy has been playing extremely well based on his current price tag. In his last 10 games, he is hitting over .300 with almost eight fantasy points per game on average. He posted 22 fantasy points in his last start, showing off his upside. Use him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Third Base (3B) - Jung Ho Kang ($5,100)

Jung Ho Kang recently won player of the week, hitting around .500 that week with multiple home runs. In his last 10 games, he is hitting almost .500 with 13.3 fantasy points per game on average due to four home runs and double-digit RBIs. His price tag is up there, but he is worth the money.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Jarrod Dyson ($4,400)

Jarrod Dyson is very reasonably priced for his current production level. He is hitting over .350 in his last 10 games with almost 13 fantasy points per game on average. With six stolen bases in his last 10 games, his upside is through the roof. Use him in tournaments against the Oakland Athletics tonight.

Brandon Drury ($3,400)

Brandon Drury is as close to a must play in all leagues as possible on a short slate. His price tag is entirely too low, and he is hitting over .400 in his last 10 games with three home runs, nine RBIs, and four walks. That averages out to 11.8 fantasy points per game. He is hitting in hitter-friendly Arizona tonight against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Rich Hill is a tough opponent, but Drury is too hot to pass on.
