ANALYSIS: New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas has been held back by Jacoby Brissett this season. The second-year wide receiver averaged 4.8 targets and five half-point PPR fantasy points over the first five weeks with Brissett under center.
Thankfully, Douglas had a breakout performance in Week 6, with Drake Maye making his first career start. The second-year pro had six receptions on nine targets for 92 receiving yards against the Houston Texans. Furthermore, he had his first NFL receiving touchdown and scored a career-high 18.2 fantasy points.

Douglas’ nine targets matched the rest of the team’s wide receiver core in Week 6. The second-year receiver was Maye’s favorite target against the Texans. More importantly, he has an excellent Week 7 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars have the worst pass defense in the NFL. Last week, they surrendered four passing touchdowns to Caleb Williams, with Keenan Allen totaling two.
Fantasy players should make Douglas one of their top waiver wire claims this week.
