Darren Waller's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Darren Waller for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE2
ANALYSIS: New York Giants tight end Darren Waller is one of the most dangerous weapons in the NFL when healthy. The veteran is the TE23 for the year, averaging 7.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. However, Waller hasn’t played since he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 8.
After spending six weeks on injured reserve because of the hamstring injury, the veteran tight end is expected to play tomorrow against the New Orleans Saints.
The last time fantasy players saw Waller healthy was in the Week 7 win over the Washington Commanders. He dominated their secondary, totaling seven receptions on eight targets for 98 receiving yards, a touchdown, and a season-high 19.3 fantasy points.
Thankfully, the veteran has an appealing matchup in his first game back from the injury. The Saints have surrendered 10.5 fantasy points per game to tight ends, the 11th-most in the NFL. Tight ends have totaled at least one receiving touchdown and 12.5 fantasy points against New Orleans in five of their past seven matchups.
I disagree with the RotoBaller rankings. Fantasy players should consider Waller a low-end TE1 with upside in Week 15.
