Daniel Jones is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for quarterbacks. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 17 of the 2022 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 63% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Call it a contract year or call it what you want, but the truth is that Daniel Jones has finally stepped up his game at the right time for the Giants and is still in a position to carry them to the postseason for the first time since 2016. Sadly, Big Blue lost by three points to the Vikings on Saturday and will now have to wait another week for that to happen, but they're still in the run.

Jones will be an unrestricted FA next spring but he's done more than enough for New York to give him the dough and bring him back to NYC. Jones is still not quite a QB1 in the NFL but he's averaging high-end QB2 FP weekly these days.
He averaged 16.2 FPPG in the first eight weeks of play but he's now at a better 17.9 FPPG since coming back from the Week 9 bye. In fact, he's entered the QB1 realm in four of the last seven weeks and finished as a top-14 QB in Week 10 too.
This last Saturday, away at Minnesota, Jones completed 30-of-42 attempts connecting on 71.4% of those for 334 yards and 1 TD against 1 INT. He added 34 rushing yards on 4 carries though he fumbled the rock once. The 20.8 FP is the most he's scored since hitting 26.6 FP back in Week 11.
Jones has avoided turning the ball over by throwing just five interceptions through the season, although he's not the gaudiest of touchdown-scorers either with only 13 in 15 games. Jones will always come with a solid 14+ FP floor but his ceiling is a bit low.
Consider jones an extraordinary streamer at this point through the season, though, and a safe option for risk-averse GMs out there not wanting to explore too fancy extremes in the last two weeks of the year.

We're through 11 weeks of NFL action in 2025, and the running back position remains one where it's difficult to find value.
