ANALYSIS: Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire has never been a fantasy football star despite being a first-round pick in the NFL Draft. The veteran running hasn’t played this year after starting the season on the non-football illness list.
Reportedly, he had a chance to play in Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints. However, the Chiefs gave Edwards-Helaire another week before adding him to the active roster.
Kareem Hunt has been outstanding since re-joining the team a few weeks ago. The former superstar running back has stepped up as the featured guy, with Isiah Pacheco out of the lineup because of a fractured fibula. Last week, Hunt had seven forced missed tackles and 64 rushing yards after contact in the win against the Saints.

Fantasy players in deeper league should stash Edwards-Helaire on their bench. While Hunt has played well the past two weeks, the veteran isn’t guaranteed the lead role the rest of the season.
