The Cleveland Browns Defense is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for the D/ST position. Target them as a free agent add off waivers for Week 17 of the 2023 NFL season.
BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: D/ST1
ANALYSIS: The Cleveland Browns have the top-ranked D/ST in the RotoBaller Week 17 rankings, ahead of several elite defenses. Cleveland’s D/ST is the third-highest scoring unit in fantasy football, averaging 9.9 fantasy points per game.
They have been a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks lately. Over the past three weeks, the Browns have recorded seven interceptions, totaling at least two in every contest. Cleveland has also been a sack machine in 2023. They have 44 sacks for the year, recording at least three in 66.7% of the games, including three straight.
Myles Garrett is arguably the top defensive player in the NFL. He is seventh in the league with 13 sacks this season, three away from matching his career high. Yet, the superstar is the favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year, according to FanDuel.
Tonight, the Browns face the New York Jets in a battle of elite defenses. Trevor Siemian will start under center for the Jets. Over the past two weeks, the veteran has struggled to protect the ball, totaling five turnovers. Cleveland’s D/ST could have a massive fantasy performance in Week 17.
