BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: QB1
ANALYSIS: Rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud returned to the field last week after missing the last two games due to the concussion he received against the Jets in Week 14. Stroud returned and had a solid performance where he threw 213 yards for one touchdown and zero interceptions which ended his fantasy day at a mediocre score but was encouraging to see the star was back on the field performing at a high level.
In Week 18, the Texans will face off against the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts currently sit at 16th in the NFL in the least amount of passing yards allowed to opposing quarterbacks this season which could give leeway to wideout Nico Collins who has been an amazing asset for Stroud all year. Stroud could find himself in an excellent position to have a multiple-touchdown performance in a must-win game.
Fantasy managers should view the quarterback as a number one option this week and can trust him to be started in your lineup. Stroud should be able to find his way in the passing game and can be seen as a QB1 with top-five upside. Expect wide receiver Noah Brown to step up for the quarterback along with tight end Dalton Schultz saw just two catches last week.
C.J. Stroud is listed as the QB4 in our Half-PPR rankings.
