BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 50% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: I wrote a post about Carson Wentz as part of my weekly WW coverage. I'm doing it again this week, and that only highlights one thing: fantasy GMs still don't trust Carson Wentz but they absolutely should. In other words: stop reading this, go to your WW pool, and if Wentz is still available in it smash that ADD button!
Wentz had an extraordinary QB3 overall debut last weekend with the Commanders. He didn't reach the 29.7 FP tally from W1 on Sunday, but he put on another QB3 performance with 27.8 FP against the Detroit Lions. The numbers: 337 passing yards on 30-of-46 completed passes for three touchdowns against just one interception.
The difference in fantasy points is virtually nonexistent, and the passing stats can't really be closer. This is the second game in a row for Wentz hitting 313+ passing yards, 27+ completed passes, 3+ TDs, and a completion rate above 65 percent. Yes, he committed a couple of interceptions in W1 and then another one this weekend (along with a fumble) but you have seen the production.
It's been two weekends now with Wentz rostered in fewer than half of all Yahoo leagues. That should change as soon as Week 3, but there is still a window of opportunity there for you streaming-QBs fantasy GMs out there to get a bona fide season-long starter.
No matter the league you play in, and unless it is a really small one with just a handful of teams, you should make Wentz your starter ROS.
