BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 56% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Carson Wentz, this season's Indy Colts starting quarterback, is far from an afterthought although most fantasy GMs out there would make you believe that. Thank God we have rostership data to back up reality instead of having to rely on foolish takes. Wentz has one game outside of the top-20 quarterbacks in any of the past eight weeks of play, and he's been able to enter the QB1 realm a couple of times including just this past Sunday. Talk about an "afterthought"...
Wentz has scored at least 17 FP in all of the games he's played for the Colts except W3 against Tennessee. I mean, it's not that Wentz is a WW target to stream here and there or whatever. No, sir. Wentz is a bonafide high-end QB2 with upside for more as he's already proved. Wentz's last weekend's game saw him complete season-high 27-of-51 pass attempts for 231 yards while throwing 3 touchdowns (and getting picked twice, yes, while also committing a fumble). Remove those blips from his line, and the score would have been delightful.
"But that's cheating!". Nah. Wentz had only one interception in the first seven games of the season prior to those two last Sunday. He had four fumbles, so one every two games. It's not that Wentz is some sort of turnover machine, so don't come at me with that excuse not to roster him. I'm seriously calling up every GM streaming the QB position or playing QB2 formats. Don't lose your time. Rush to your WW. If you're into one of the 44% of leagues currently without a Wentz-GM, congratulations: you got yourself a league-winning player.
