Brandin Cooks start 'em, sit 'em fantasy football lineup picks for Wild Card Weekend. Should you start or sit Brandin Cooks in playoffs fantasy football lineups (2023)?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-end WR2
ANALYSIS: Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks had a solid regular season. The veteran was the WR36, averaging 9.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. While he struggled early in the year, Cooks picked up his play when it mattered most for the Cowboys.
The veteran had a receiving touchdown in three straight games to end the regular season, including last week against the Washington Commanders. He also had eight targets in back-to-back contests after going six consecutive games with six or fewer. While CeeDee Lamb has been a superstar wide receiver, Cooks has played a critical role for the Cowboys, especially at home.
Cooks had eight receiving touchdowns this year, the second-most on the team. Five of his receiving scores came at AT&T Stadium. Dallas will face the Green Bay Packers at home to start the playoffs, giving the veteran wide receiver an appealing matchup.
With the Packers doing everything possible to slow down Lamb, expect Dak Prescott to target his veteran wide receiver at a higher-than-usual rate. Fantasy players should consider Cooks a solid starting option and an under-the-radar value in DFS.
