Dennis Clausen

1847 articles

Dennis wasn’t always a hardcore fan of sports. Instead, he spent most of his time on the mat, focusing on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman wrestling. He was also involved in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. However, Dennis eventually began watching basketball and football, where he developed an obsession with his hometown Brooklyn Nets while rekindling his love for the Cincinnati Bengals, a team he enjoyed using in Madden in the early 90s. Since then, he started writing about fantasy sports before joining RotoBaller, where he’s been for nearly a decade, mostly writing NBA and NFL news. He loves playing DFS, especially NBA. Dennis is a member of the FSWA and has been competing in the King’s Classic, a fantasy league consisting of fantasy football writers from various websites, since 2019. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves video games, especially Madden, NBA2K, and Final Fantasy.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Off the Injury Report for Sunday

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Heat. SGA didn't suit up on Friday in the win over the Memphis Grizzlies after dropping 46 points on the Utah Jazz. However, since that one went into overtime, Gilgeous-Alexander got a much-needed night off. With […]

Alperen Sengun Questionable on Sunday

Houston Rockets forward/center Alperen Sengun (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game in Sacramento. This is a surprising development, considering he was expected to miss at least two weeks before being re-evaluated. While there's still a realistic chance the 23-year-old won't be out there, it at least appears he's well ahead of schedule. If Sengun remains […]

Kawhi Leonard Will Suit Up Against Detroit

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (ankle) will play on Saturday against Detroit. The team is usually overly-cautious with the multi-time All-Star, so it's surprising to see him suit up for the second game of a back-to-back. He had 26 points, five boards, five assists, three steals, and one block in Friday's win over the […]

Andrew Nembhard Available Versus Miami

Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard (back) is available on Saturday versus Miami. He didn't play on Thursday against the Hornets, opening the door for T.J. McConnell to finish with 23 points, eight boards, and four steals from off the bench. While McConnell will still have a role, his outlook isn't as favorable, so fantasy managers […]

Lauri Markkanen Resting on Saturday Night

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen won't play on Saturday against Charlotte. He had 33 points, seven boards, and four assists in 40 minutes in Thursday's win over the Dallas Mavericks, so fantasy managers can understand why he'll get the night off. The veteran is expected back on Monday versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. With Jusuf Nurkic […]

Jusuf Nurkic Won't Play Against Charlotte

Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkic (toe) won't play on Saturday versus Charlotte, marking his second-straight absence. He's been battling a toe injury, so fantasy managers may see him miss more time moving ahead until things clear up. With Lauri Markkanen (rest) and Ace Bailey (hip) ruled out, Keyonte George and Brice Sensabaugh could surge from […]

Ryan Kalkbrenner Available on Saturday Night

Charlotte Hornets center Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) will play on Saturday against Utah after missing the last 10 games because of a sprained left elbow. The rookie, who has averaged 8.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks this season, will presumably return to the starting lineup. However, he'll likely be limited in his first game back. […]

Isaiah Stewart Might Miss Saturday's Game

Detroit Pistons forward/center Isaiah Stewart (illness) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Clippers. With Cade Cunningham (wrist) sidelined for Wednesday's win over the Chicago Bulls, the 24-year-old took on a more prominent role offensively by finishing with a game-high 31 points. Unfortunately, he's dealing with an illness, which is not an ideal scenario, considering […]

Cade Cunningham Questionable Versus Clippers

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (wrist) could miss Saturday's meeting with the Clippers. He has a contusion on his right wrist, keeping him off the floor for Wednesday's win over the Chicago Bulls. Jaden Ivey ended up replacing him in the rotation, although he had only eight points. While Daniss Jenkins struggled even more offensively, […]

Andrew Nembhard in Danger of Missing Another Game

Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard (back) is questionable heading into Saturday's game against Miami. He didn't suit up on Thursday night versus the Hornets, resulting in Quenton Jackson entering the starting lineup. However, it was T.J. McConnell who benefited the most without Nembhard on the floor, with the 33-year-old ending the evening with 23 points, […]

Kawhi Leonard Questionable for Saturday Night

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's meeting with the Pistons. The multi-time All-Star was on the injury report ahead of Friday's win over the Brooklyn Nets, although he was able to play, finishing the night with 26 points, five rebounds, five assists, three steals, and one block. However, with Saturday's […]

Scottie Barnes Ruled Out on Friday Night

Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes (knee) won't play on Friday against Boston. He injured his knee in Wednesday's win over the Charlotte Hornets. While the 24-year-old could miss a few contests, the fact he wasn't ruled out early heading into this one at least suggests he might be day-to-day, meaning there may be a chance […]

Anthony Davis "Could Miss a Number of Months"

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Dallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (hand) "could miss a number of months." AD suffered an injury to his left hand in Thursday's loss to the Utah Jazz. He is heading for a second opinion, and there's a chance he may need surgery. With the trade deadline rapidly approaching, Davis might […]

Trae Young Traded to Washington

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Atlanta Hawks are trading guard Trae Young to the Washington Wizards in exchange for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert. The 2018 No. 5 overall pick has been a reliable fantasy producer since entering the National Basketball Association. In 493 regular-season contests, he's averaged 25.2 points, 9.8 assists, and 1.0 […]

Ja Morant Remains Out on Wednesday

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (calf) won't play on Wednesday against Phoenix, marking his third-straight absence. Only time will tell if he'll be able to get back on the floor when the Grizzlies face OKC on Friday night. However, while Morant is on the shelf, Cam Spencer remains a must-start for fantasy managers. The 2024 […]

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Will Suit Up Versus Utah

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (knee) will play on Wednesday against Utah. SGA struggled shooting the ball in Monday's loss to the Hornets. However, he still had 21 points, six assists, and one block. OKC has lost the last two contests, so Gilgeous-Alexander should have plenty of motivation to produce versus one of the […]

Jaren Jackson Jr. Good to Go Against Phoenix

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. (illness) is available to play on Wednesday against Phoenix. The Grizzlies are down Cedric Coward (ankle) and Ja Morant (calf), among others, so the team couldn't afford another absence. Fortunately, that's not the case with 2023 Defensive Player of the Year. With so many absences for Memphis on Wednesday […]

Santi Aldama Cleared to Play on Wednesday

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Santi Aldama (ankle) will play on Wednesday against Phoenix. The 24-year-old is coming off a rough showing in Tuesday's narrow win over the San Antonio Spurs, amassing 10 points, shooting 3-for-10 from the field and 1-for-6 from downtown. However, with Ja Morant (calf), Cedric Coward (ankle), and Vince Williams Jr. (knee), Aldama […]

Alperen Sengun Possibly Out 10-14 Days

Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun (ankle) will be re-evaluated in one week after tweaking his ankle in Saturday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Unfortunately, head coach Ime Udoka estimated the 2021 No. 16 overall selection could be sidelined for 10-14 days. He's having another fantastic year, averaging a career-high 21.8 points, adding 9.0 rebounds, 6.5 […]

Moussa Diabate Returning Returning on Monday

Charlotte Hornets center Moussa Diabate (wrist) will play on Monday versus the Thunder after missing the last two games. With Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) out of commission, Diabate has been filling in admirably. In six starts this season, he's averaged 8.8 points and 11.8 rebounds, which is good enough to land him a spot in most […]

Brandon Miller Available on Monday Versus OKC

Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller (knee) will play on Monday versus OKC. The 23-year-old popped up on the injury report because of a knee contusion, although he'll avoid his first absence in over a month. He's averaged 19.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks throughout the 2025 campaign, so he should be featured in all […]

Kon Knueppel Will Play Against OKC

Charlotte Hornets guard Kon Knueppel (hip) is available on Monday against Oklahoma City. The former Duke Blue Devil has averaged 19.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 42.8% shooting from behind the arc, putting him in the Rookie of the Year conversation. He popped up on the injury report heading into this one. However, Knueppel will be […]

Coby White Back on Monday Night

Chicago Bulls guard Coby White (calf) will play on Monday night against Boston after missing the last three games. Despite being limited to only 16 contests throughout the 2025 campaign, he's averaged 19.2 points, the second-highest mark of his career. While the Celtics have allowed 110.7 points per game this season, White has an excellent […]

Santi Aldama Available on Sunday Evening

Memphis Grizzlies forward/center Santi Aldama (ankle) will suit up for Sunday's game against the Lakers. The 24-year-old is having the best season of his career. He most recently had 15 points, seven rebounds, and three assists when these clubs met on Friday night. With that said, Aldama could be in line for an uptick in […]

Ja Morant Downgraded on Sunday Night

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (calf) won't play on Sunday against the Lakers. He was listed as questionable throughout the day. However, the 26-year-old began trending in the wrong direction a few hours heading into this one. Fortunately, Santi Aldama (ankle) is available, so he should pick up a lot of the slack on the […]

Giannis Antetokounmpo Good to Go Against Sacramento

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) is available on Sunday night against the Kings. The multi-time MVP routinely appears on the injury report, which is never shocking to anyone at this point. However, what's more surprising is he'll now suit up for a fifth-straight contest. All things considered, Antetokounmpo remains a must-start, obviously, and he […]

Trae Young Won't Play on Monday Night

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (quadriceps) won't play in Monday's rematch with the Raptors. He has missed the last four games because of a quadriceps contusion. As of now, the former Sooner is considered day-to-day, so his next opportunity to return will be on Wednesday against the New Orleans Pelicans. While Young remains on the […]

Grayson Allen Still Out on Sunday Night

Phoenix Suns forward Grayson Allen (knee) remains out for Sunday's game against OKC, marking his ninth-straight absence. The former Duke Blue Devil was initially listed as questionable, so it seems things are moving in a positive direction. Now, fantasy managers are left wondering if he'll be back on Monday in Houston. In the meantime, Royce […]

Ja Morant Questionable Against the Lakers

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lakers. He's missed plenty of time throughout his career. However, the 25-year-old is now in danger of sitting out because of a right calf contusion. With Vince Williams Jr. (knee) already ruled out, Cam Spencer may find himself handling things at the […]

Jarrett Allen Ruled Out on Sunday Afternoon

Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (illness) won't play in Sunday's Central Division showdown with the Detroit Pistons. The Cavs won't play again until Tuesday in Indiana, so the 27-year-old has a few days to rest. In the meantime, Evan Mobley will likely slide over to the five spot and could surge versus a Pistons team […]
