BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~175 Overall
CURRENT ADP: ~190
ANALYSIS: Arizona Cardinals wide receiver A.J. Green signed a one-year, $6 million deal with the Cardinals during the offseason, and to the surprise of some has received high praise from the coaching staff and quarterback Kyler Murray. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is "jacked" about pairing up with him this year, and he has provided some hope as he's generally impressed during training camp.
All signs point to Green being the No. 2 wide receiver for the team. The question is if Green will remain healthy. He was dealing with a minor injury earlier in training camp, but he was back at camp shortly thereafter. That will be an important factor to his potentially fantasy football success. In his time with the Bengals, Green had 649 receptions, 9,430 yards and 65 touchdowns and was one of the best all-around receivers in the game.
The veteran wideout could have big games here and there in this explosive offense, but his age and recent injury history also make him a question mark. Green is currently being drafted, on average, as the No. 73 fantasy pass-catcher. That's quite low, and it doesn't cost you much in the later rounds of drafts to try and untap some upside. You never know, he can re-emerge as a solid option for the Cardinals and fantasy owners, especially in PPR formats. Only requiring a pick in the later rounds, it will be a cheap investment to take the flier. Worst case scenario, it doesn't work out and he replace him off the waiver wire.
