Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Brendan Smith scored once again on Wednesday night versus the Seattle Kraken. That gave Smith two goals in his last four games. Now, keep in mind, Smith has two points in seven games on the season while playing 13:33 a night. The defenseman did play a season-high 15:38 against Seattle. There is no doubt that Smith has a heck of a shot but he does miss the target a good deal. The defenseman has just eight shots in seven games for Carolina. He might be a depth add at best but expectations he ends up seeing power-play time are unlikely at this time. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
