Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev was suspended for two games on Friday for an illegal check to the head of Toronto's Mitchell Marner in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss. The Russian blueliner will miss Saturday's trip to Ottawa and Tuesday's home game against Carolina. Sergachev has recorded six points in 10 games this season while averaging the third-most ice time (22:12) on the team. The team has called up Fredrik Claesson from the minors to potentially fill in for Sergachev, who will be eligible to return on Nov. 13 against Florida.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
