The Chicago White Sox outrighted four players off the 40-man roster Friday. Outfielder Brian Goodwin and pitchers Evan Marshall, Jimmy Cordero, and Jace Fry all cleared waivers and are now free agents. Pitcher Anderson Severino was added to the 40-man roster in a corresponding move. Among those players, only Goodwin was fantasy-relevant at any point in the 2021 season, slashing .221/.319/.374 with eight homers, one steal, 29 RBI, and 33 runs scored in 235 at-bats while filling in for the injured Luis Robert and Eloy Jimenez. He should not be selected in 2022 fantasy drafts, but he could end up being a short-term piece off the waiver wire once again.--Doug Goldring
