Saquon Barkley On COVID-19 List Despite Negative Test

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley was retested for COVID-19 after initially testing positive, and his test on Wednesday came back negative. However, the Giants officially placed Barkley and defensive back Xavier McKinney on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday. The 24-year-old was already set to miss practice on Wednesday due to a low ankle sprain that has kept him out of action since Week 5. There's a chance Barkley will be cleared from the COVID-19 protocols if he submits another negative test, but there's still no guarantee that he'll play in Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders due to his ankle injury. And with the Giants on bye in Week 10, they'll likely play things safe. It's looking like another week of Devontae Booker leading New York's backfield as an RB2 in fantasy.
