Rhamondre Stevenson is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for running backs. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 6 of the 2021 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: New England Patriots rookie running back Rhamondre Stevenson saw a season-high 11 rushing attempts in the team's Week 5 victory over the Houston Texans. Unfortunately, he didn't do much with them, rushing for just 23 yards, good for 2.1 yards per carry.
His increased workload came due to the team's lead back Damien Harris (chest) suffering a chest injury in the game. Harris has reportedly avoided a significant injury and is being considered day-to-day. He's questionable for Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Stevenson is the clear No. 2 ball-carrier for the Patriots at this point. Harris led the way with 14 carries for 58 yards and a score in Week 5. No other Patriots back apart from Harris or Stevenson had more than two carries in the game.
The rookie out of Oklahoma was a preseason superstar this year. He led the league in both preseason rushing yards (217) and rushing touchdowns (five) while averaging 7.2 yards per carry. Yes, it's preseason, but it's at least nice to see that he has had some success on an NFL field.
Stevenson is a worthy add in leagues of 12 teams or deeper if you need running back help. He's an even more enticing add if you have Harris. The Patriots' lead back has shown some vulnerabilities this year, averaging just 3.7 yards per carry and fumbling twice. If Harris sits next week and Stevenson manages a solid performance against a tough Cowboys run defense, he could carve out a more significant role for the long haul.
