Chris Buescher was not disqualified this time as he just kept racing. That resulted in a third-place finish few could have expected. Though he was more than nine seconds behind the winner, Kyle Larson, Buescher was outside of the top-20 after Stage 1 and only 19th after Stage 2. He even led a lap in between pit windows. The Ford enjoyed a +13 place differential on a day where crashes, spins, and overall chaos reigned supreme. Simply, Buescher kept on driving, avoided major contact, and persevered.
