Lewis Brinson Called Up By Marlins
Lewis Brinson from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday. Brinson has just 68 at-bats at the major league level this year, and he's hit only .221/.232/.353 with two home runs and five RBI, but he could see regular playing time in the outfield the rest of the year if the Fish trade Starling Marte at the deadline. He's in left field and is hitting seventh on Monday night against Washington Nationals left-hander Jon Lester with Marte receiving a day off. In 12 games for Jacksonville, Brinson was 13-for-46 (.283) with a homer, three RBI and two stolen bases in 48 plate appearances. Fantasy managers in NL-only leagues should keep him in mind or even stash him now with Marte looking more likely to be moved each day.
