Kyle Farmer Almost Hits For The Cycle

Cincinnati Reds shortstop Kyle Farmer went 3-for-4 with a double, a homer, and two RBI in a 7-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. Farmer just needed a triple to hit for the cycle in the game. The veteran shortstop has been forced into an everyday role thanks to Mike Moustakas' heel injury and is hitting .223 with seven homers, 27 runs, 27 RBI, and two steals in 233 at-bats in the additional opportunity. He's probably headed back to a utility role when Moustakas is able to return but that could still be a while off.
