3 years agoTexas Rangers pitcher Joely Rodriguez was roughed up by the Houston Astros on Sunday during a 6-2 loss. The left-handed reliever coughed up four runs in just two-thirds of an inning. He allowed four hits and one walk. Rodriguez has been an excellent high-leverage reliever for the Rangers in 2021 with five holds in 12 games. He last allowed runners to cross home plate on April 17 — his season debut after opening the year on the injured list. Rodriguez still has yet to allow a home run in 2021 and has a ground-ball rate above 70%. He remains a strong option moving forward in leagues that value holds and/or ones that punish for allowing home runs.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
