We knew entering this battle it would be a rough one for Cub Swanson (27-12), but this was a real rough one on Saturday. Just 63 seconds into the first round, Giga Chikadze earned the victory over the UFC/WEC veteran. After taking a liver kick, Swanson was floored and Chikadze followed it up with strikes, leading to the stoppage. In the short timeframe of action, Swanson was only able to land four significant strikes. Swanson is now 2-6 in his last eight bouts. It would not be surprising, pending the number of fights left on his contract, if this is the last time we see Swanson in the Octagon. He has accomplished a lot over his time in the sport, but the end looks to be near.--Matt Bricker
