Tyler Beede Could Become Rotation Option At The End Of May
Tyler Beede (elbow) looked good in his first post-Tommy John live bullpen session on Monday, giving the team optimism that he'll be a starting rotation option when he's eligible to come off the 60-day injured list on May 31. "It went great," manager Gabe Kapler said. "The velocity was there. He threw his curveball and changeup for strikes. It was definitely encouraging to see." Outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. (oblique) faced Beede on Monday, but the Giants want to give him "at least one more live look" before activating him from the injured list. Beede, 27, was 5-10 with a 5.08 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and a 113:46 K:BB in 117 innings (22 starts) for San Fran back in 2019, so fantasy managers aren't in any rush to add him back to their rosters.
