In dire straights to turn his career around, Thomas Almeida was unable to do so on Saturday against Sean O'Malley. Almost having his night ended near the end of the first round, Almeida was able to hang on and get into Round 2. Unfortunately, Almeida was unable to get out of the second round, suffering a second-round TKO loss. Through 8:52 of action, Almeida landed 25 significant strikes but absorbed 86 significant strikes (nearly eight a minute) during the bout. This may be the last time we see Almeida in the UFC, as he has now lost his last four fights in a row and five out of his last six.--Matt Bricker
