Former Las Vegas Raiders defensive back Lamarcus Joyner will sign a one-year, $4.5 million deal with the New York Jets, according to sources. Joyner will have the chance to play safety with his new team under defensive-minded head coach Robert Saleh after playing nickel back with the Raiders in 2020. The Jets also have Marcus Maye and Ashtyn Davis at the safety position, and it's not immediately clear how Gang Green will defend the slot. Joyner was a second-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 2014 but has played the last two seasons with the Raiders. The Florida State product has 417 tackles and four interceptions in his seven-year NFL career.--Keith Hernandez
