Long-time New England Patriots defensive back Patrick Chung announced his retirement on Instagram. Chung initially intended to play this year after sitting out in 2020 due to COVID-19. The 2021 season would have been the 33-year-old's 12th NFL season and 11th with the Patriots. He played in 153 career regular season games (122 starts) and 23 playoff games (20 starts). Chung was a second-round pick in 2009 out of Oregon and was a part of three Super Bowl championship teams in New England. His one season away from the Patriots came in 2013 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was the only player in NFL history to appear in the playoffs in each of his first 11 seasons in the league. Chung was selected to the Patriots 2010s All-Decade Team.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
