Jets running back (RB) La'Mical Perine is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup to target as a free agent addition for Week 17 of the 2020 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: New York Jets rookie running back La'Mical Perine saw a decent amount of work in Week 16 against the Cleveland Browns. He rushed the ball nine times for 30 yards and caught one of his two targets for 14 yards.
Frank Gore was the team's primary rusher in Week 16, carrying the ball 14 times for 48 yards. It doesn't appear as if Gore is going away as we head into the final week of the season, which caps Perine's upside, but Perine is still seeing enough work to deliver a satisfying fantasy day in Week 17.
In Week 17, the Jets play the New England Patriots, who are allowing 133 rushing yards per game this year, the sixth most in the league. We know how little success the Jets have through the air behind Sam Darnold, so we can expect a heavy dose of run plays in the team's season finale.
Add Perine in leagues of 12 teams or deeper if you need an RB3, RB4 or flex in Week 17. He should see at least 10 touches in Week 17, which gives him a good opportunity to break some big plays and potentially find the end zone.
