The Kansas City Royals agreed with left-handed starter Mike Minor on a two-year deal on Sunday that is pending a physical, according to sources. Minor, who turns 33 on Dec. 26, is returning to the city where he revitalized his career as a reliever in 2017. The southpaw went 1-1 with a 5.48 ERA in his four starts for the A's after being traded for the Rangers in 2020. Overall, Minor was a disappointing 1-6 with a 5.56 ERA and 62 strikeouts with Oakland and Texas. His season was a rough one because his fastball velocity dropped and he allowed 11 home runs in 56 2/3 innings. His average of 17.7 pitches per inning was his highest rate since his rookie season in 2010. Minor figures to remain a starter with the Royals, but fantasy managers won't be jumping to select him in the later rounds after his performance this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
