Walt Harris was in for a tough test Saturday night as he took on the No.7-ranked heavyweight in Alexander Volkov. The first round saw both competitors swinging for the knockout, with Harris landing a few shots that nearly could have ended the night. In the second round, Harris ate a body kick that ended up dropping him. Volkov followed up on the strike, which led to the TKO stoppage, declaring Volkov the winner. In just under nine minutes of action, Harris only landed 16 significant strikes while absorbing 45 significant strikes. The 10th-ranked Harris will probably get a fighter in the bottom of the top 15 or a heavyweight looking to crack the ranks in his next fight.--Matt Bricker
