The San Francisco 49ers fear that defensive end Ziggy Ansah (biceps) suffered a torn biceps in the Sunday night loss to the Eagles. Ansah was ruled out at halftime with an arm injury, and he would need season-ending surgery if the fears are confirmed by testing on Monday. If that's the case, Ansah would be the team's third outside pass-rusher to have been placed on season-ending Injured Reserve in the span of three weeks. All-Pro Nick Bosa (knee) is out for the year and Dee Ford (back) will miss at least the next three weeks. Ansah had no stats in the two games he was used in, mostly on third-down passing situations. The 49ers Defense will still be in play in a nice matchup against the Dolphins in Week 5, but after that they face a murderer's row in the Rams, Patriots, Seahawks, Packers and Saints.--Keith Hernandez
