Jose Quintana To Be Re-Evaluated In Two Weeks
Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jose Quintana (thumb) underwent surgery to repair an injury on his left thumb that required five stitches. Quintana will start throwing and be re-evaluated in two weeks. The lefty has had an underwhelming showing in two and a half years as a Cub and owners shouldn’t consider him outside of streaming for DFS purposes this year. Quintana was 13-9 with a 4.68 ERA in 2019. Tyler Chatwood is the favorite to replace Quintana in the rotation. Alec Mills also could get a chance to make some starts. Both Chatwood and Mills can be ignored in most fantasy formats for now.
