The Chicago Cubs selected Michigan outfielder Jordan Nwogu with the 88th overall pick in the third round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. The Cubbies went on to draft San Jacinto College North left-handed pitcher Luke Little in the fourth round and Panther Creek High School pitcher Koen Moreno in the fifth round. Nwogu's physicality (6-foot-3, 235 pounds) and strength jump off the page, as do his exit velocities, and he has speed to boot. He profiles as a future left fielder. Little is far from little at 6-foot-8, and he hit 105 mph working out in May. But his secondary offerings need work and scouts aren't stoked on his arm action or mechanics, potentially leading to a bullpen role. Moreno, an 18-year-old righty, needs developing but has the potential to develop into a future starter if he doesn't attend Eastern Carolina.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
