Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes during the 2014 season, and living with diabetes could force him to decide whether or not to play should the NFL return this year during the coronavirus pandemic. Peterson said he'll be comfortable playing if the proper protocols are followed by the league. The 29-year-old doesn't have an increased chance of acquiring the virus, but he has a greater risk of serious complications arising from the virus. However, his risk of getting very sick from COVID-19 is lower if his diabetes is well-managed. We'd bet on Peterson playing this year if the season starts on time, but it's not a guarantee. He'll be looking to bounce back after a trying 2019 season that saw him miss six games due to suspension.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
