San Jose Sharks center Joe Thornton scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 3-1 victory over Columbus, netting on a power play in the second period. Kevin Lebanc and Brent Burns also scored for the Sharks, who are set to meet the red-hot Stars next. This was just Thornton's second goal of the season, but he has quietly been on a nice run in recent weeks, registering seven points in his past eight appearances. Logan Couture (ankle) has been ruled out for several weeks, so Thornton and other centers have to step it up. The veteran center, who has 19 points for the year, logged 17:14 of ice time on Thursday, which is the second-most playing time he has received this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
