Carolina got into penalty trouble late in the game but the club was able to stem the tide and received a late empty-net goal from Ryan Dzingel to win 3-1 against Montreal. Forward Erik Haula led the offensive attack although his participation in the contest had been a game-time decision. His goal and assist gave him six points in the last four games. He now has 11 goals and 17 points in 21 games during his injury-marred 2019-20 season. Hurricanes’ sniper Sebastian Aho had a goal and now has 23 in 40 games. Assuming he stays healthy, he should obliterate his previous high in goals, which was set at 30 last year. Teuvo Teravainen added two assists and now has 40 points in 40 games. On the other side of the score sheet, Max Domi had the lone goal for Montreal. Backup goaltender Charlie Lindgren was excellent in his first start of the season and stopped 33 of 35 goals. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
