Alex Smith Plans To Return In 2020

Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith (leg), who missed all of the 2019 season while recovering from at least 17 surgeries on his broken right leg, said "without a doubt" that he plans to return to football. Smith's career has been in doubt since he suffered the gruesome injury in 2018, but he's adamant that he wants to come back. It won't be in Washington with Dwayne Haskins leading this rebuilding club as the franchise signal-caller, but Smith could get a shot elsewhere. There's no guarantee that he'll be in line to win a starting job somewhere, though, so Smith remains off the fantasy radar heading into next season.
