Jets Not Optimistic On Chris Herndon IV, Kelvin Beachum
New York Jets head coach Adam Gase isn't optimistic that tight end Chris Herndon IV (hamstring) and left tackle Kelvin Beachum (ankle) will be able to play in Week 9 against the Dolphins. Despite getting in limited practices, it appears that Herndon just isn't quite ready. It's a shame, too, as he would've had TE1 upside in his season debut in an excellent matchup. Instead, Ryan Griffin might be worth a TE2 streamer after going for two touchdowns in Week 8. Beachum being inactive would be bad news for quarterback Sam Darnold, although he's still in a great bounce-back spot against the winless Dolphins.
