Washington Capitals goaltender Ilya Samsonov picked up his first career NHL win as his team defeated the New York Islanders 2-1 on Friday. The 22-year-old stopped 25 of 26 shots against, with his only goal allowed resulting from a fluky bounce off his own defender's skate. Samsonov looked poised and in control throughout the contest and is getting off on the right foot in terms of earning trust from Capitals head coach Todd Reirden. The Russian netminder carries immense value in any keeper fantasy leagues and is one fantasy owners in redraft leagues should certainly keep an eye on for spot starts. The Capitals will be in action again on Saturday versus the Hurricanes.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
